Unofficial Tampa Pride Goes Virtual Starting Tonight – Don’t Miss It

Tampa Pride was scheduled for March 27-29, 2020. Due to COVID-19, plans were put on hold until May. But this didn’t stop Mr Tampa Pride, Kirk DaVinci, from bringing his community together in celebration.

“During this time, we have to come together,” DaVinci posted on his Facebook earlier this week. “Myself along with some amazing entertainers are here to remind everyone that we will not let this stop us from entertaining the masses and putting on an amazing show. I’m well aware that we can not gather in groups at this time, but digital technology is so prevalent right now. We will have a Tampa Pride Digital Weekend!”

Entertainers from around the region, most out of work right now due to cancelled events, were assigned performance times. During these slotted time frames, performers will go LIVE on their personal or business Facebook pages. In an effort to financially support entertainers, tips will be accepted via digital payment systems like PayPal, cashapp and Venmo.

DaVinci shared with OutCoast that while this event is being hosted by the original Tampa Pride entertainers, and the Tampa Pride team is in full support, “this is not an official Tampa Pride event.”

The Tampa Pride Digital Weekend lineup is made up of nearly 40 performers, including entertainer and producer, Amanda Jay (AKA Mayven Misbehavin) whose performances include circus acts, comedy, burlesque, singing, dancing, and more. She expressed her excitement for this opportunity on the Digital Weekend group’s Facebook page earlier today. “I’m grateful and looking forward to performing with all of these talented individuals.”

Sheba Queen of the Night is also performing in this weekend’s digital event, makeup and all! The Queen took to Facebook with this statement: “Hello there #tampapridedigitalweekend viewers, fans and entertainment lovers from all over the globe. I will be performing at 12:30pm EST THIS Sunday LIVE for Sunday Brunch. Tune in: https://www.facebook.com/shebaQOTN/.
