If you are looking to vacation with other open-minded adults and ditch those tan lines, read on to find out more about the naturist resorts and the many nude beaches in the Sunshine State.

Before you go, it’s important to remember that while these are nude beaches, they are not sexual spaces. Many of these spots have strict rules about solicitation and sexual conduct. This list also includes a mix of gay-only and inclusive nude bathing. With that in mind, as long as you respect everyone’s boundaries, you should be on your way to having the best clothing-optional beach vacation ever.

South Florida

If you are looking for some of the best nude beaches in Florida then come to South Florida. Between Miami and Fort Lauderdale there are so many of Florida’s nude beaches to check out. And if you need a place to stay we’ve got options for you right here

Beaches

Miami Beach

Miami Beach is not a nude beach, but they do turn a blind eye to topless tanning. Especially in some stretches of South Beach. South Beach is one of the most famous beaches in the world and while it’s not a naturist beach, it is an unofficial topless beach.

Haulover Beach

Just north of Bal Harbour and south of Fort Lauderdale, is Haulover beach which is one of the most famous and popular nude beaches in Florida. Haulover beach is often ranked in listicles as one of the top nude beaches in the world.

If you are a naturist then this is a must-see while you are in Miami. While there is no gay nude beach, Florida does have a section of Haulover that is reserved for the boys that’s so popular there are shuttles from local gay hotels.

There are a ton of activities at Haulover beach, don’t miss the nude drum circle or volleyball tournament. This beach also has plentiful amenities, there is parking, bathrooms, and rentals – all clothing-optional.

Haulover Beach is a nudist paradise on the shores of the Atlantic ocean. Come and visit the most popular nude beach Florida has to offer!

If you are a naturist or nudist and are looking for a place to stay near Miami or Fort Lauderdale away from the swarms of tourists in South Beach, then Rooftop Resort is a good clothing-optional hotel.

Hotel Gaythering

The Hotel Gaythering staff want you to feel like a local in Miami Beach! The hotel features handsome architecture, free bikes, and a clothing-optional men-only spa. Stay and play at Hotel Gaythering if you’re looking for the gayest hotel in Miami.

The Worthington is the largest clothing optional community of resorts in the US and some of the most popular. This Fort Lauderdale resort is actually three interconnected resorts with sparkling pools and hot tubs and an all-male clientele.

So if you are gay and looking for a clothing-optional resort that is just steps from the beach, then the Worthington is a great choice for you.

The Florida Keys

If you are looking for a nude beach Florida Keys-style then be prepared to rough it. There aren’t official nude beaches in the Keys but there are some spots to check out if you are a nudist.

Key West

If you are looking for a place to have a clothing-optional vacation then Key West might be a good place to visit. Miami isn’t the only place with nudist attractions!

Beaches

Geiger Beach

Sometimes known as Boca Chica Beach is a little beach on Geiger Key in Boca Chica, Florida. It’s at the end of a hurricane-ruined street so be careful visiting this Boca Chica beach. Boca Chica Beach is the only sanctioned “nude beach” in the Florida Keys and both visitors and locals take advantage of the freedom.

Warning: when we say this is a secluded beach we mean it. There aren’t any amenities and no restrooms. Be respectful of the natural beauty and take all your trash with you when you go.

Treasure Coast and Port St. Lucie

To the north of Miami is Port St. Lucie which has some of the best nude beaches in Florida. Port St. Lucie sits on the St. Lucie inlet. This private community is harder to access and is miles away from the crowded Miami area. There are a few clothing-optional beaches, but be careful, some beaches aren’t officially nude so have a cover-up handy.

Beaches

St. Lucie Inlet

The St Lucie inlet might be the most secluded beach on this list as you need a boat to reach it, but it does boast some of the most privacy. Like many other nude beaches on this list, it’s not a nude beach per se, but in practice, many naturists flock here because it’s so out of the way.

Blind Creek Beach

Blind creek beach is another secluded spot off of the Jensen Beach Causeway near Fort Pierce. It’s recently been made an official nude beach open for nude sunbathing and recreation!

Blind Creek Beach feels more laid back than Haulover beach because it’s less crowded and touristy. It’s one of the best nude beaches in Florida.

The Hobe Sound Beach

North of Miami on the Hobe sound is Jupiter Island, there are a bunch of very private beaches here where you can bare it all if you are discreet. The Hobe Sound Beach is a few miles north of Palm Beach just south of the Port Lucie inlet.

It’s off the beaten track so if you want to commune with nature then this is the place to do it. You’ll go gaga over this beautiful beach with rocky cliffs and clear water far away from on-lookers and tourists.

Cape Canaveral National Seashore (AKA Space Coast)

Cape Canaveral National Seashore has some gorgeous coastline with miles of protected lands for wildlife to roam and some protected areas for naturists to walk around in the nude.

Beaches

Playalinda

It’s one of the last pristine beaches in Florida, and one of the many hidden gems of the Florida seashore. Playalinda beach is not technically a clothing-optional beach, but the sheriff won’t interfere with nude sunbathers as long as they are discreet.

Despite not being an officially sanctioned naturist beach, it’s still often listed as one of the best nude beaches in Florida.

Bunche Beach Preserve

Much like some of the other Florida nude beaches, Bunche Beach Preserve on San Carlos bay is not an official nude beach but rather a beach where nudity is allowed and overlooked. It’s a great beach for visitors who are birders and into kayaking. It’s a real naturist beach without amenities, so you’ll have to bring your own.

Apollo Beach

Apollo beach is not a nudist beach officially but it is popular with naturists. If you go to one of the more secluded parts of the beach no one will bother you for going fully nude.

Apollo beach is a great place to vacation because there is a lot to see at the St. Lucie inlet, manatees, and more.  If you go to the nearby Mosquito Lagoon, you’ll be treated to plentiful wildlife like pelicans and dolphins.

Be careful to head to the right Apollo beach. There is one near Tampa that is not the right one! This Apollo beach is named after the famous moon missions that took off at nearby Cape Canaveral.

Central Florida

While Central Florida is known for theme parks and family-friendly fun, it’s also home to several nudist attractions that cater to adults.

Resorts

Cypress Cove Nudist Resort

If you are looking for something a little more private where you can bare all but still have the time of your life then Cypress Cove Resort is the place for you. It’s an all-inclusive resort where you can go au natural 24/7. It is the only place on this list that isn’t close to one of the many nude beaches in Florida but instead sits on a lake beach in central Florida.

Though the resort provides everything you need, Orlando is only 30 minutes away so you have access to a big city. You should also pack a few outfits just in case you want to explore Orlando.

Paradise Lakes Resort

Paradise Lakes Resort is a naturist resort in Land o’ Lakes, Florida. It’s a naturist lifestyle resort with a private nightclub and all sorts of activities for you to enjoy while you’re living your best life in your birthday suit.

Sunny Sands Resort

Sunny Sands is a family-friendly clothing-optional resort. Unlike many of the other places on this list, Sunny Sands is not on the beach, it’s close to several beaches and it’s about an hour and a half drive from Playalinda. But there is lots to do at this nudist haven like lounge by the pool, go on a nature walk, play games, and eat at their restaurant.

Caliente Club And Resort

Caliente Club and Resort in Land O’ Lakes Florida is a luxurious experience with lagoon-like pools and a spa for pampering. Be careful though, this is not a swingers resort. They take security and safe spaces very seriously here and they are strict about their rules so that once you enter you can leave your stress at the door.

The Tampa Bay Area

The Tampa Bay area is close to some of the best beaches in the US. If you are looking to stay in the Tampa area, we have your back with these gay options, but if you are looking for clothing-optional choices then you can’t go wrong with GayStPete House and Casa Puente.
