LGBTQ Dynamics in the Workplace Workshop on Sept. 8th

Equality Florida

The South Tampa Chamber, the Centre Club, and Equality Florida invite you to a unique workshop to learn ways to successfully recruit, retain, and improve productivity through workplace policies that create equality for LGBTQ employees and clients.

Designed for business leaders and human resources managers, workshop attendees will:

  • Define the connections between diversity and inclusion and business results
  • Identify and address gaps between policy and practice
  • Explore unconscious bias behaviors
  • Acquire skills and tools to strengthen inclusive behaviors
  • Learn inclusion best practices to recruit and retain top talent and increase productivity
  • Obtain membership in Equality Florida?s Another Business for Equality registry (a $50 value)

Also during the workshop, you’ll learn about Equality Florida?s business programs, Equality Means Business and Another Business for Equality.

Meet the instructor

Gina Duncan
Director of Transgender Equality, Equality Florida

Gina Duncan

Gina Duncan is Equality Florida’s Director of Transgender Equality. She was in the mortgage banking business in Central Florida for 31 years, has served on the Home Builders Association of Mid-Florida and Mortgage Bankers Association Boards of Directors, and was President of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Central Florida in 2005.

From 1997 to 2011, she was with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and served as the Area Manager of Central Florida, and Regional Manager for East Florida.

Gina currently chairs TransAction Florida’s Advisory Council, Equality Florida’s transgender inclusion initiative, dedicated to ensuring that transgender inclusion is woven into all we do at Equality Florida.

Gina is recognized as a national and international spokesperson and educator on transgender rights, public policy, and civic engagement. She was featured on the cover of Florida Trend Magazine, Florida’s largest business magazine and was chosen as the Top 100 LGBT Movers and Shakers in Florida.
