The historic house located at 823 S. Orleans Ave. in Hyde Park has just been sold, reports Ashley GurbalKritzer for the Tampa Bay Business Journal. Harrel and Julia Lambert bought the Tampa property for $4.1 million, closing the deal on September 10th.

The home’s price is equivalent to that of prime waterfront properties in the area. It’s 5,982-square-feet, and just a short walk from Hyde Park Village’s shops and restaurants. While it was built in 1920, it underwent two extensive renovations.

In 1990, these renovations included adding an exterior glass house. In 2012, contractors updated the plumbing, roof, and air conditioning, and smart-wired the house, parts of which can now be controlled by smartphone or tablet. The house has also been featured in Architectural Digest.

The house was sold by Keith and Chandra Henthorne, who were represented by Henderson Everett Lee of the Toni Everett Co. The Henthorne’s bought the home in 2013 for $3.18 million.
