Domain Home Accessories & Gallery, 3129 Beach Boulevard S., Gulfport, will host a silent auction fundraiser event on June 29 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with one-of- a-kind local art and a special gift basket raffle that will benefit the Tampa Bay area’s Sonia Plotnick Health Fund (SPHF).
“The fund is such a great organization that helps so many people,” said Jackie Ades, owner of Domain. “The store will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from the silent auction and raffle to the fund.”
The primary focus of the SPHF is to raise money for women who need financial assistance to pay for health care related expenses in five Florida counties: Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Manatee and Sarasota. Since 1997, the fund has helped women pay for mammograms, breast cancer treatment and other healthcare-related items not necessarily fully covered by their insurance. The fund became a registered Florida non- profit under its current name on July 2, 2002.

For the fundraising event, several area artists and businesses have volunteered to contribute. Domain will have food and drinks in a gallery setting while people bid on silent auction items. They are also offering anyone who makes a cash donation of $50 or more in the month of June the opportunity to enter a raffle for a special gift basket.
