This summer, Queen and Adam Lambert are teaming up and performing in a new Rhapsody Tour. According to Queen’s official site, the musicians will be touring North America and performing at 23 different venues between July and August 2019. Fortunately for Southwest Florida residents, one of those venues is in Tampa.

On Sunday August 18, the Amalie Arena in Tampa will be the venue of choice for the Rhapsody Tour. Fans can expect a concert even more exciting than previous ones. When Roger Taylor announced the tour, he explained that the band is “…raring to get back in the saddle.” Adam Lambert revealed that the show will use new visuals to “reframe” some of the most well-known songs.

The show comes shortly after the film Bohemian Rhapsody hit theaters. Almost immediately, the film received rave reviews.  Its popularity reaffirmed that Queen is still a force in the music industry.

When Queen last performed in September 2018 at the MGM Park Theater in Las Vegas, they were joined by Adam Lambert. However, their history together extends back to 2009. In Adam Lambert’s American Idol finals performance, the iconic band joined him on the stage.
